Meet Caleb

The legend of Loch Ness Landry runs deep and rich around these parts. Allow me to spin you a tale:

A hush falls over the Munjoy Hill Tavern as a grizzled fisherman bursts through the door on a rain-soaked night.

“I seen him! I finally seen the monster! I telled ya all, the Loch Ness Landry is real!” Murmurs of distrust and chuckles dismissing the old coot wave through the bar.

“I’m telling ya the truth! An island, I thought at first, two bare mounds in the sea foam, pale in the moonlight. But then they moved. A pair of great cheeks they were, the largest I’ve ever seen! I cast a bottle of Chartreuse starboard as bait and waited…He breached! I saw him, hair as intense as the setting sun, biceps glistening in the late-night of the moon.”

The Munj crowd falls deathly silent, the TouchTunes now unplugged, and all eyes are affixed on the fisherman.

“Just reel this one in, Terry, I thinks to myself. Slow and steady. His driftwood-sized quads capsized me in the struggle! I knew my time was nigh, but just before the brisk ‘n’ briny deep took ol’ Terry, he wrapped his great arms around me and swam me to safety. And he left me there, soaked to the bone. With a ‘bye darling’, the Casco Bae slipped back beneath the waves.”

Whatever you believe, we’re glad he’s on our side. Regardless if he’s bellied up at a local bar, slinging drinks behind it, or stilling our hooch, PDC is fortunate enough to have its very own mythical creature.

Meet Couch

With a nickname like “Couch”, we can understand why JD Vance won’t stop DMing him. This huggable, always smiling fixture of Portland’s bar scene has shaken enough drinks to drown a dozen donkeys.

A midcoaster by birth and a bartender by trade, Adam Sousa can wax prosaic about String Theory, Quantum Mechanics or help your world building in your next DnD campaign. While he may be colorblind, his palette is as rich and deep as that cherubic grin of his.

So meet the “O Captain my captain!” of our still’s controls and tell Guy Fieri to move over – there’s a new mayor in this FlavorTown.

Meet Matthew

Born from the ferocious love between an excel spreadsheet and and a grizzly bear, Downtown Matthew Brown is a tempest of financial planning and fermentation.

Hailing from the Rocky shores of Boothbay Harbor, this coastal Maine boy eats barnacles for breakfast and washes it down with a tall, cool Budweiser.

The legends say, he once shotput a rock so large and so far into the Atlantic ocean, it was named Matinicus Island.

Matthew is so good with numbers, the IRS has him on a watch list. He turned down a partnership with Warren Buffet because he ‘doesn’t like to work with amateurs.’

The only thing bigger than his magic card collection is his heart. This two-ton man mountain will lift your furniture, and your spirits.

Meet Goldie

What is not to like about Portland Distilling Company's Goldie's Gin? It has a great smooth flavor with a surprising touch of sweetness that makes this gin very drinkable, even when sipping neat. The PDC location is very hospitable and you couldn't ask for a better group of guys who distill this amazing gin. They take pride in their craft and it shows.Pick up a cocktail with Goldie's Gin if you see it at your favorite watering hole. Pick up a bottle or more when you see it at your local store. Better yet, pay a visit to PDC and meet the guys in person. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing distillery! Stopped by recently for a visit and one of the owners took time to explain the entire process. Their enthusiasm for their product was palpable and plenty of opportunities to sample the goods. Highly recommend!
